The IDA would like to announce the hiring of Mr. J.R. Charles as the new Executive Director...
Thomaston-Upson Industrial Development Authority is proud to announce the hiring of James Ryan (J.R.) Charles as the new Thomaston-Upson County Industrial Development Authority Executive Director as of June 1, 2010.
Mr. Charles graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia in broadcast journalism in 2005. He is presently employed by the Douglas-Coffee County Chamber of Commerce as director of Entrepreneur and Small Business Services. He has also assisted the Chamber of Commerce President in recruiting industry to Coffee County.
Mr. Charles meets required qualifications for the executive director position and he should bring new knowledge and energy to the efforts of bringing jobs to Thomaston and Upson County by working with existing industry and new prospects. Click Here for a welcome from the new Executive Director.
